Only if you are a Vancouver local, or an insider of the Canadian undergroundmusic scene, that you would probably familiar with Chad Thiessen’s (aka NeoImage) contribution to the infamous Mood Hut label. He’s not only one ofthe founders, but also a member of Aquarian Foundation, Kintectic Electronix,and behind one of the biggest edit 12’’ of 2016 - Better/Fever. Due to zeropress coverage, and Mood Hut’s mysterious profile, Chad’s work as a DJ/producerisoften overlooked.

KNOPHA

现居厦门来自广州是DJ/制作人，活动厂牌Beatween的联合创始人。他的作品曾被北京独立音乐唱片燃音乐以及上海／东京bass、grime类先锋厂牌Push and Pull发行。创作和混音之余，Knopha一直在尝试进行对跳舞音乐多样性和可能性的探索。从80年代到现今，disco到techno、house，从纽约到芝加哥，底特律，柏林和伦敦，他在 DJ 的过程中透露出一种独特的视野与哲学，让他成为了亚洲*值得去现场一看的DJ 之一。

Knopha is a Xiamen based Cantonese DJ/Producer, co-founder of events promoter Beatween. His music has beenreleased by Beijing independent electronic imprint Ran and Shanghai/Tokyo bassand grime frontier ‘Push and Pull’. In either his own production or dj mixes,Knopha always attempt to explore the variety and possibility of dance music,not to be conformed by the usual House and Techno.
