“Funky”（放克）在中国按其音乐特点翻译为“骤停打击乐”，这种音乐是由非洲音乐变化多端的节奏，以及黑人爵士乐灵活自由的呼应方式结合发展而来，崛起于20世纪70年代，被认为是“迪斯科音乐”的前身，现代跳舞音乐的精髓。随时代发展，funk/soul节奏类型被广泛注入到disco / house / techno等诸多风格样式跳舞音乐之中，成为*易激发舞池狂欢的“导火索”。
