来自哈萨克的TURAN乐团由五名哈萨克国立音乐学院学生成立于2008年，旨在用现代的方式重现古老的民族声音和传统文化。

TURAN乐团主要演奏传统哈萨克音乐、萨满音乐、古突厥音乐。通过哈萨克传统乐器，如库布孜(kobyz-Қобыз)、节特根(类似于古筝, Jetigen-жетіген)、冬不拉(Dombira-Домбра)、萨满鼓、色不孜克/斯布孜额(草笛, Sybyzgy-СЫБЫЗҒЫ)、口弦(斯尔那依-Shankubyz-Шанкубыз)、手摇鼓(阿萨塔亚克-Asatayak-Асатаяк)等。

在TURAN表演的时候，配合古老的服装，伴着库布孜苍凉，穿透力极强的音色如呼啸山谷的风声，低沉神秘的旁白如咒语般念出，冬不拉快节奏的低音伴奏，鼓声沉稳而有力。

他们的声音根植于古老的哈萨克精神图腾，来自远古悠扬而有厚重的声音在世界范围内获得了巨大的声誉，受到传统民间音乐鉴赏家和古典乐迷们的一致好评。

The folklore-ethnographic ensemble “Turan” was organized at the initiative of its members - students of Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy in 2008. The basis of the idea of an ensemble was the desire to recreate the sound of old archaic supplies, to find new ways, works and forms in the performance of our moderns.

The originality of the collective identity become appeared from the first sounds of songs performed by the ensemble: the shape of their vocal works, the sound of the ensemble of unusual and fascinating especially, because of the fact musicians that are used along with the under spread folk instruments rarely performed, even in professional collectives. Using possibilistic sound amplifying equipment light and musicians to easily and artistically moving across the stage, creating an unforgettable images and pictures of past and present.
Members of the ensemble are winners of numerous competitions and festivals of folk music, members of prestigious concerts, both in our country and abroad: France, Israel, Turkey, Germany, South Korea, USA, Spain, Hungary, Russia, and Uzbekistan.
Folklore-ethnographic ensemble “Turan” is the owner of Grand Found of the First President of Kazakhstan.

Members of group are Maksat Medeubek, Korlan Kartenbaeva, Serik Nurmoldaev, Abzal Arykbaev, Baurzhan Bekmuhanbetov, who play instruments like as sybyzgy, shankobyz, sazsyrnai, sherter, zhetigen, shynkyldek, dombyra, kylkobyz, narkobyz, dangyra and other instruments, and Abzal Arykbaev also known the oldest artificial traditional throat singing.

“Turan” ensemble became a member of the International festival in Berlin “Young Euro classic” on the 8-th of August in 2008, where the ensemble was invited as an artist symphonic poem “Dala syry” with the students symphonic orchestra of the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy taken by Aktoty Raimkulova.

It was taken to a German audience pleasantly with very successful. They won the hearts of many connoisseurs of traditional folk music and as well as classic music. Loud applause proofs that the band has gained fans not only in Kazakhstan but also outside it.

In November 2009 they gave a concert tour to USA cities: Los-Angeles, San-Francisco, Washington, Boston, New York with great triumph. Their closing concert was in Carnegie Hall in New York.

With students symphonic orchestra they played symphonic composition “Zhamilya” by the memory of Chingiz Aitmatov, by Aktoty Raimkulova. Wonderful acoustic, quality sound and favorable light and of course thankful public which for a long time don’t want to let them scenes with young artists. As a representative of the Kazakh culture they had opportunity to demonstrate to the American public high professional level of performance.
