中国迷幻的鼻祖乐队。成立时间为2012 年10 月24 日。由四位少数民族艺术家组成，致力中国原创音乐。WHAI 不断演化成一支先锋摇滚乐队。他们哲学化的歌词、声音，实验、不断创新的CD 封面艺术和精心设计的现场表演都闻名于世。WHAI 于一零年代在张巍的带领下在中国迷幻方面已经比较成功，并将噪音音乐引入了主流。

WHAI - the founder of Chinese psychedelicrock music, was officially formed on October 24th 2012 by 4 artists ofdifferent ethnic minority backgrounds, devoting in developing Chinese originalmusic. Throughout the years, WHAI has been growing into a progressive rockband. They are well known and recognized for their philosophical lyrics,experimental music, Avantgarde styled CD cover designs and great live showperformance. Starting at the beginning of this decade, under Zhang Wei’sleadership, WHAI has gained success in promoting Chinese psychedelic rock aswell as introducing noise music into mainstream music scene.

WHAI plays a mixture of Trip-Hop, Dance,Chinese folk, Psychedelic, Avantgarde, Experimental, Rock, Industrial, Technoand Noise. However, their sound cannot be boxed into one category, it flowsfreely depending on what best suit the song’s subject matters which ranges fromChinese culture to fantasy themes and sometimes even pondering on the verymeaning of life.
