For the 17th edition of our Singer/Songwriter night, we went out and reached for a trio of Beijing legends that are so amazing in their respective rights and convinced them to come out of their comfort zone, perform solo, all original materials!

Desmond Mc Garry

Des has crawled the bar floors of Beijing as well as festivals in China for the better part of the last 15 years, either with ultimate blues outfit "Black Cat Bone" or part of Beijing's one and only Irish bad boys "Black Water"

Most people are not aware that Des has a long history of songwriting in his native Canada for country and pop artists.

Richard Todd

Richard has taken a few steps back from the music scene since his long standing Beijing based outfit, Randomk(e), disbanded. Music still flows through his veins, along with bourbon. For this one evening, he decided to get back in touch with creative juices and write a whole new EP. A must hear.

Heike Wyler

Classical cellist, singer/songwriter Heike has long walked the Beijing music beat, from high-art to the indie-strata to the underground. As much at ease in the royal Albert hall or in a hutong bar, Heike’s versatility has led her to perform with a multitude of artists, from folk-rock to bluegrass, country, and blues.

大提琴手，歌手/作曲家Heike是北京现场音乐的见证者，她从古典到独立到地下音乐都有涉足。音乐上的多样性使她与民谣、蓝草、乡村、布鲁斯等风格的音乐家们都有过合作。
