After releasing his debut EP Juke Box in 2014, Nikitch quickly made his mark on the French and international electronic music scene, blending House, Trap and underground influences into a distinctive sound that defies genre conventions.

In 2016, he began collaborating with producer and musician Kuna Maze, leading to a trio project that took him to major European festivals, including the Montreux Jazz Festival, Dour Festival and London Jazz Festival.

In 2026, drawing on the experience gained through his collaborations, Nikitch returns to a solo live format. To present his new album, which explores the many aesthetics of electronic music and the possibilities of instrumental improvisation, he has developed an entirely new set of instruments, alongside interactive visuals created in collaboration with artist Flaca Boonse.

About the Audio Visual Live Performance

Nikitch’s music was initially built within an entirely digital environment. His first live performances relied on a computer-and-MIDI-controller setup, developing a distinctly synthetic and digital aesthetic. Over time, his approach gradually expanded to include analogue instruments and improvisation, giving instrumental performance an increasingly central role in his live shows.

The creation of the album NOVA marks a turning point in this evolution. The writing process is now rooted in a more organic approach to composition, where improvisation fuels both the creative process and the live performance. This transformation led to the desire to create an audiovisual live format in which the dialogue between sound and image becomes an integral part of the experience.

To accompany this musical evolution, Nikitch sought a strong visual identity capable of reflecting the living, dynamic nature of his music. This exploration takes shape through a collaboration with Flaca Boonse. A multidisciplinary artist, she develops a practice at the intersection of sound, image and matter. Driven by experimentation and intuition, she explores the connections between the sensory world, the imagination and moving forms.

Her work begins with matter, emotion and a handcrafted process, before being transformed through digital technologies. This approach directly echoes Nikitch’s own practice, shaping music in which instruments, human gesture and electronic tools are in constant dialogue.

She is particularly interested in light, color and texture, which she shapes as living materials to create singular visual worlds. Through different forms of creation, she seeks to bring forth poetic spaces where abstraction gives way to sensation and emotion, giving rise to abstract forms with cinematic resonances.

The visuals do not seek to illustrate the music. Instead, the live performance becomes an immersive space where images evoke inner landscapes, open to each viewer’s own interpretation.
Together, they explore a shared sense of depth. In sound, through rich, immersive and warm compositions; in image, through layered textures, the use of grain, projections onto different surfaces, and multiple visual sources — water, instruments, machines and materials — creating an organic, sensitive audiovisual universe in constant evolution.

About the Live Instruments
长笛是Nikitch音乐历程里的关键乐器，更是新专辑最核心的声音特征。他深厚的爵士乐和古典音乐功底为他奠定了扎实的旋律和即兴演奏基础，使他能够在现场演出中展现出独特的音色和情感。
他对当代音乐的探索，从电子乐到都市音乐，都体现在他运用各种效果器处理长笛音色上，例如延迟、和声、合唱等等。
The flute, a key instrument throughout his musical journey, is at the heart of the sonic identity of his new album. His background in jazz and classical music has given him a strong foundation in melody and improvisation, allowing him to bring a unique palette of colors and emotions to the live performance.
His exploration of contemporary music, from electronic to urban sounds, is reflected in the processing of the flute through various effects pedals, including delay, harmonizer, chorus and more.

From UK Bass Music to Chicago House, through contemporary styles such as South African Amapiano, as well as Gnawa and traditional sounds found in the work of artists such as Khalil Cherradi and Jarreau Vandal.

Flaca Boonse is a visual artist, art director, composer, and sound artist. Her work lies at the intersection of electronic music, digital arts, and contemporary performance.
She creates worlds where image, sound, and material interact and transform one another.
Through video and experiments with light, color, and digital textures, she develops visual compositions that accompany, extend, and enrich the musical experience.
She collaborates with artists from the fields of music, dance, and contemporary performance, including musician Alexis Moutzouris and choreographer Agnès Canova. She is currently developing the visual creation for Nikitch's A/V live project.
Her practice explores the transformation of materials, the dialogue between the organic and the digital, and the ways in which images can become an extension of sound rather than a mere illustration.
