这次题为“水月镜花”的Ciné-Concert是法国钢琴家Thierry Maillard现场一人一琴,加上影像共同呈现《Tears of Rain》专辑当中的诗艺表达。

The Ciné-Concert titled "Water Moon Mirror Flower" features French pianist Thierry Maillard performing live with just one piano, accompanied by visual elements, to present the poetic artistry of his album "Tears of Rain."


蒂埃里·梅拉德(Thierry Maillard)发行了他的首张个人专辑,收录了他亲自创作的曲目。这位钢琴家难以被归入某一类别,他既是比尔·埃文斯(Bill Evans)的忠实粉丝,又对巴赫、莫扎特和巴托克充满热爱。他利用这个机会反思了自己作为爵士音乐家的身份。蒂埃里·梅拉德既不忘记过去,也不否认当下,在这张专辑中他敞开了自己的心扉。这是一张罕见深度的专辑,它开辟了新的视野,其中旋律为主导,他的作品让我们感受到了纯粹与简单,直达事物的本质。

Thierry Maillard signs his first solo album in his own compositions. This pianist more than ever unclassifiable, eternal mad in love with Bill Evans but not less Bach, Mozart or Bartok, takes the opportunity to question his identity as a jazz musician. Without forgetting anything about the past or not forbidding himself for the here and mixing, Thierry Maillard opens in this album of rare depth new horizons where melody is queen, where his compositions take us to the field of pure emotion. First, an image: a musician’s painting facing his piano and his scores, as facing himself. As a man can be a little lost between two trains or two loves would land facing the sea. “Tears of rain” entirely from the pianist’s pen plunges the listener into a world of dreameries and sound confidences, shimmering memories, faces, perfumes and buried melancholy.

情感的边缘,钢琴的“歌声”引领着音乐游戏,依次呈现出适度的华尔兹节奏、怀旧的旋律、如痴如醉的小调,或让人想起拉威尔的小品。

 In this new musical world that Thierry Maillard invents before our eyes, never seems to have said “I” with so much truth, clarity and depth. But if he says “I” it is to better address us by choosing the “You”... As in a noble and sentimental waltz.
