纸老虎乐队THE PAPER TIGERS
纸老虎是北京当下“*火的……独立摇滚乐队”，而且他们正像风暴一样席卷全中国。他们充满爆发力的，让人情不自禁想跳舞的音乐让人联想到The Clash, The Cure 和Block Party, The Arctic Monkeys的结合。乐队的原创新音乐由来自不同大洲的四位经验丰富的成功音乐人，在北京欣欣向荣的地下音乐环境里共同创作。
纸老虎的成员分别来自美国，欧洲和澳大利亚，他们现居中国，并在中国演出。乐队成员曾在自己的*和其它*有着丰富的演出经验和获奖经历，包括全球巡演，为众多*乐队开场，同时他们的音乐在广播滚动播放，影片在全国电视网络上播出，他们的唱片更是达到高达一万张的唱片销量。
乐队极富魅力的主唱Joey Catanzaro，曾为澳大利亚老牌朋克乐队Unpaid Debt的主力成员。他曾与国际知名乐队NOFX, The Bouncing Soulsand Against Me一起出现在各大音乐节和巡演上。在中国，纸老虎乐队的成员也曾与众多知名乐手、乐队合作，包括苏紫旭、the Paramecia, 发光曲线, Lazy Camels以及川子。
在过去的十二个月里纸老虎乐队不断成长，他们不断用原创音乐以及具有爆发力的现场给观众带来震撼的表演。他们已经准备好在鸡年大干一场。今年三月份，在各大媒体的全力支持下，纸老虎将发表了他们的首支单曲及音乐录影带“胡同嬉皮士”。四月发布同名EP之后，他们将投入全国巡演。

Beijing’s “hottest’indie rock band, The Paper Tigers, have confirmed theirmuch anticipated, debut EP will be released on April 15 at what is set to be ahuge launch show at one of the most iconic venues in China’s capital, Jianghu Bar.
Scene stalwarts The Harridans, who have been on indefinitehiatus, have confirmed their first show back in their long-awaited comebackwill be in support of The Paper Tigers’at the EP launch.
And one of the capital’s fast growing favourites, Joker’s Belief, will also be performingsomething new for old fans and something cool for new fans: A special, one-off acousticversion of their set.
The EP launch comes after the Paper Tigers blew up theinternet with the release of their debut music video for the EP single trackHutong Hipster, which has received almost 9,000 views online in just two weeks,going viral in Beijing with roughly 5,000 of those hits received in under 24hours after it went live.
北京*火爆的独立摇滚乐队——纸老虎乐队，已经确认于4月15日发行他们万众期待的首张EP（迷你专辑）。将在中国首都*标志性的场馆——江湖酒吧举办一个盛大的发布会。
现场的忠实拥护者，曾经宣布无限期暂停活动的TheHarridans，已经确认了他们令人期待已久的回归首秀，他们将会被邀请参演。

Almost 12 months in the making,The Paper Tigers’self-tiled, debut EP is a seventrack explosion of grit, swagger, surprise hooks and confronting vulnerabilitythat has grown out the sweaty, underground Beijing scene in which it is firmlyrooted.
“Put your facemasks on, because ittakes your breath away,”screeches Tigers front man JoeyCatanzaro on crowd favourite, Second Ring Road.
“Mostof these songs are about Beijing,”says Joey, who cameto fame as singer of high-profile Australian punk outfit Unpaid Debt beforemoving to Beijing in 2013.
“We’re four guys from four differentcontinents who came to China and write about life in modern China from ourperspective. People tell us it’s something new, which is reallyhumbling. I just hope we’ve managed to somehow capture theenergy and vitality and contradiction of this place and this moment in time inour music, which we vaguely describe as Indi-dance-punk.”
The EP also features guest backingvocals from some of the Beijingmusic scene’s best known identities, including DanTaylor (The Harridans), Scott Slepicka (Macondo), Fred Shi (Macondo and Joker’s Belief), Joss 姜寒; and Tasharni Jamieson (The Hunters).
Electronic surrealist DubZen Melodistalso contributed a remix of popular track, We Can Love Like Wolves.
Mastered at Treelady Studio in the USby Garrett Haines —whose credits include Wiz Khalifa,Maybe Mars releases by Chui Wan and The Yours, and re-mastering for Nirvana —The Paper Tigers EP will be simultaneously released on alimited edition, custom USB (that features original artwork from Beijing’s FeiFei) and through online platformsincluding Bandcamp on April 15.
Tigers guitarist Alex K. Fong, who took the lead recordingand producing the EP, says: “We took on the challenge of recordingthe album ourselves to ensure we captured Beijing’s spontaneous character, whichinspired the songs. I think we managed to do that with an EP that is as grittyand real as it’s beautiful and alive with possibility—just like this city.”
The Paper Tigers will kick off their national tour withshows in Dalian, Shenyang, Changchun and Shanghai, with more dates to beannounced, soon.
