Time to dust off the cobwebs, air out the house and remove the (all too many) skeletons out from the closet. Live China Music rings in the new season with a deviant lineup of dangerously alluring sounds from some of the underground’s newest most riotous voices with Pillow Case, The Third Toe and BurgerSuicideClub.

来自杭州的独立摇滚乐队枕头盒子由四人组成，自几年前出现在 livehouse 后，*不断引起轰动。枕头盒子是一杯混合了垃圾摇滚、后朋克、新浪潮和钉鞋的鸡尾酒：在乐队锐利的锋芒和混响旋律下，有着一颗忧不安定的心，使得他们的声音在冲击中扭曲燃烧。

Springing forth from Hangzhou is Pillow Case - the riotous four-piece indie rock outfit that's been causing a stir since emerging onto the scene a couple of years back. A spiked cocktail of grunge, post punk, new wave, and shoegaze - there's a brooding volatile heart beneath the band's jagged edges and reverb-drenched melodies - allowing the twists and turns in their sound to combust upon impact.

Joining them will be The Third Toe. Voted 2021's 'Most Promising New Band' by Yuyintang, the post punk band has been making noise in both livehouses and clubs not only in Shanghai, both across the country since bursting onto the scene last year. Leaning into the rawer techno rock dance elements of the genre, they find a satirical buoyancy among the simmering synths, steady bass, and charging drums, all the while giving their songs a visual anthemic drive through their innovative live visuals.

Last but not least - BurgerSuicideClub continues to prove to be a beautiful strange anomaly that takes delight in twisting convention. There’s a detached, art school conviction to the band that toes the line between helpless and exasperation - a surreal haze that the band seems to operate from that’s hypnotic to the ears - David Lynchian vibes filtered through the city's cutting edge and constantly evolving club and experimental scenes.

the Third Toe, a post-punk band from Shanghai, was formed in 2020. It is composed of lead singer/synthesizer/Li Yang leeyang, bass/Fan Zhenyu, drummer/AYM. The works focus on social current affairs and current life.

BurgerSuicideClub，成长于上海，几经波折形成目前的四人阵容。古怪、工业、锋利的鼓机合成器与人类操持着的三大件并存于乐队。成立两年多来，他们在早场Livehouse和午夜的地下Club左右迂回，均留下过吵闹身影。他们的实验基本在民宅地下室展开，头顶通常有秋裤，现场总是面带微笑。
