The Mountain High 乐队将带来阳光、原汁原味的传统音乐，还有有趣的现场互动。
The Mountain High 是目前东亚*的一支美国老式乡村及方块舞舞蹈乐队，由几位来自美国的音乐人在北京成立。他们擅长运用乡村小提琴、班卓、吉他、低音提琴等乐器，配以优美的和声，演绎美国传统民谣、乡村音乐、福音音乐以及蓝草等多种不同类型的乐曲。在每场演出时，乐队成员都会在音乐的伴奏下，用中文和英文教现场的观众跳方块舞。
从乐队组建至今，The Mountain High 已经在中国二十多个城市有过多次演出，并将他们明快的节奏、质朴的旋律带到了国内数家音乐节的舞台上。
他们参加过：迷笛 乐节、爵士上海音乐节、上海世界音乐节、北京《觉》 乐艺术节、Echo Park、 Dazefeast 乐节， “Jing Jam”系列 乐活动、上海木+线音乐节、2015 无锡太湖 乐节、2016 上海混凝草音乐节等。
也被邀请去大学、爵士乐吧、博物馆、公司联欢会、使馆、私立学校和音乐场所演出。
The Mountain High 乐队喜欢去发掘中国的民乐传统，并把他们带上国际舞台。 乐队曾数次带着他们的中美融合的传统音乐，在北京*大剧院和上海音乐厅举办演出。乐队一共发行了四张专辑，其中也有和云南民族乐队蛮虎以及美国北卡乐队 Jenny and the Hog Drovers 合作。
他们还制作了八个教学视频，教各种水平的学生怎么用吉他、班卓琴、曼陀林和小提琴演奏流行的中美民族乐曲。
Believing the rise of China would be the major story of his lifetime, Chris Hawke travelled to China ten years ago to work as a journalist. But he found that he liked teaching audiences traditional American folk dances and playing the banjo better. He quit his job, and with his band The Mountain High has performed at the National Center of the Performing Arts in Beijing, the Shanghai Concert Hall, and at universities, museums, festivals and music venues in over 30 cities around the country. Chris taught journalism at the Communication University of China, worked for the English edition of the Global Times as a reporter and a writer. Before moving to China he worked for Associated Press, CBSNews.com and United Press International, and lived in Tokyo, New York, and Bangkok. Each summer Chris likes to visit the mountains of the Eastern United States and study traditional banjo, fiddle and dance from the old masters. He and Kirk Kenney have produced a series of instructional videos teaching how to play traditional American and Chinese songs on the banjo, mandolin, guitar and violin. Kirk and Chris enjoy traveling through China, meeting local musicians and learning their songs.
