N.B.S. is a Boston-based rap duo comprised of cousins E’Flash and Vee Knuckles. The duo has been pursuing their musical dreams since they were kids. Though related, and having similar experiences, their lyrical styles are contrasting yet harmonious. With influences such as Kool G Rap and Nas, V Knuckles’ flow adds a raw, witty, energetic element to compliment the smoother and calmer style of E Flash. Together, according to DJ Dow Jones of Night Life Types DJs/ Shadyville DJs/ Coast to Coast All-star DJs, "they are true vets in the game when it comes to business, writing, and performing. Formula for guaranteed success.” They display verbal excellence over hard beats with compelling melody.

N.B.S. has released countless albums from The Smokefest (2013) to the Budavets (2014) and has worked with hip-hop’s top producers such as Just Blaze. Their latest album, Trapped in America, received international attention and was featured prominently in The Source magazine and The Boston Globe. For this album, N.B.S. teamed up with the veteran production team The Snowgoons. The album masterfully strides the line between consciousness and consequence, lending a voice to the experiences of young black men in America.

N.B.S. has performed all over the world including the US, UK, France, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, China, Japan, Colombia and Ghana. They have toured together with big names in hip-hop such as Onyx and Mobb Deep.

Jackson Turner

Jackson Turner aka Heretic is a hip-hop artist from NYC. He has been rhyming and performing since he was 15 years old. He has worked with artists such as Lisa Rowe, The Shaggers and the Boston hip-hop duo Natural Born Spitters (NBS). He has appeared in various magazines such as I Am Hip-Hop Magazine (London).

Jackson he released his first solo album “Long Time Coming” in 2013, collaborating with producers Soulspeak, Jewell Fortenberry and TB-Ray. The album focused on Jackson’s experiences growing up in NYC and the personal and political views he developed as a result of these experiences. It was titled “Long Time Coming” because it was a culmination of almost ten years of musical and artistic development.

Jackson released two music videos for this album, all in collaboration with Sbazzo and Mage Productions. The videos have been quite successful online.

In 2015, he released a second album titled “The Foundation EP”. For this project Jackson again collaborated with Jewell Fortenberry and Soulspeak, as well as having features from the German artist Lisa Rowe and French reggae General Huge. The album reached as high as number 4 on the national hip-hop charts for CMJ radio in the US; and number 2 on the national hip-hop charts for !Earshot radio in Canada. The video with Lisa Rowe, “New Beginnings” received much attention in the US, appearing across the country on Bongo Boy TV and Indimusic TV.

Jackson has performed both in and outside the United States, including performances in South Africa (Capetown, Grahamstown), China (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong) and Japan (Tokyo, Sapporo).
